Expansion plans
Paramount Airways would like to make their premium first class service just like the business class configuration on all its wide body aircraft.
According to Mr. Thiagarajan, the Managing Director of Paramount Airways, they will make this in all international routes. Thus, international flights will get its custom-made wide body aircraft and will not have any economy class.
The airline is negotiating with aircraft manufacturers Boeing and AirBus. Evaluation was conducted by the airline on AirBus A330 and AirBus A350 as well as the Boeing 777 and Boeing 787.
They are planning to place order by July 2009 for 10 wide body aircraft. Likewise, the airline planned to start its first international flight in 2011 after completing the five-year mandatory period.
Europe is the first international route included in the schedule and will connect to major European cities such as London, Paris, Vienna and Rome.
Other destinations in the Far East and Middle East such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Bangkok are also the target routes of the airline.
Paramount Airways Fleet
As of 2008, the airline has five Embraer aircrafts that are in service. The Embraer-E170 and Embraer-E175 served short-haul routes.
However, in order to substantially expand its fleet, Paramount Airways plans to assemble a fleet of 40 Embraer aircraft to be completed by 2010.
Purchase of these aircrafts will be funded with assistance from banks and the company itself. The additional Embraer jet will served operations to western India, Kozhikode and Trichy.
