In addition, the airline added a new US route from Piarco International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The frequency to this route was increased instead of four times weekly to daily service.
Transavia Airlines agreed to operate a wet lease operation on behalf of Caribbean Airlines to meet the demand of passengers during the peak travel periods likewise the fleet was also increased to 8 Boeing 737-800. Having established a codeshare agreement with British Airways, the services of Caribbean airlines was expanded to London and other neighboring region.
